What to do with the easy clean and anticato finishes.

The manufacturers of quartz composite issue different advice concerning the protection of honed or anticato finishes. With quartz composite we see that these stones are "dense" due to the mixture of resin with quartz particles. This high density means no dirt can penetrate the stone. Consequently, stains can always be removed. However, because the honed and anticato finishes are made rougher than the polished version, dirt can more easily attach to these surfaces and be more difficult to remove. Diresco therefore recommends treating these surfaces with a stain stop specially for composites as in the ranges from Lithofin, Akemie, etc.
